He came with several cameras and valued all of our ideas, and when we became stumped he offered ideas for us to try as well. He was very professional, kind, caring, and always on top of the game taking photos. Towards the end of our night he started to put the camera away and brought it back out to catch a few final moments. He was on top of responding to all questions before, during, and after. He took photos of me and my husband before the ceremony and got some wonderful shots (it was a 95 outside wedding so this was much appreciated because we all had some sweat on our faces). But before we got Percy and our booking process with eivans it was super simple, and just an overall great experience.”

And our DJ Rob Goodmonson! We cannot thank him enough for the amazing work he did at our wedding! We loved his energy and all of his questions that he had for us during our phone call consultation. I in particular am very grateful that he was so willing to help me with a special song request which required mixing bits from two songs together for my Father-Daughter dance. He was more than up for the challenge and was so helpful with it! When it came to the actual wedding, he was so kind when introducing himself on our wedding day and did a beautiful job MCing. We wanted more minimal MC work and he nailed it perfectly! He was also super flexible with last minute announcement requests that we had. For example, we realized no one was noticing the anniversary cards we put out for signing at the dinner tables, so we asked him to make a little announcement about it and he did great doing that on the spot! Finally, the music all night was absolutely fantastic. He really listened to what we wanted and he delivered! The music felt very much like “us” and we had so much fun dancing all night long. Everyone kept talking about how great he was and several people said it was the best wedding music they have ever heard. If we ever need a DJ again, without a doubt, we will be hiring DJ Rob!”

“I used this company for my dj, Photo Booth and cold sparklers and lighting for my wedding at Bal Hai and I was 10/10 happy with their services! I paid extra to have an attendant stay so I could use the cold sparklers multiple times which was great! Him and the photo booth attendant were both very kind and easy to work with. DJ Erin was fantastic! I had some technical issues with the website not allowing me to add my songs online but after our phone calls I felt like I could trust him and was able to share my Spotify playlist to him which made my life so much earlier and less stressful. He edited a song for me perfectly for my walk down the aisle and was always quick to respond ahead of the wedding if I had a question. I very much would trust this company in the future and I wouldn’t change one tiny thing about my wedding! A dj can make or break a party and he made mine! I got lots of compliments about the music selection and variety of songs and genres that were played. “We absolutely loved working with The Hook Club. Our amazing planner, Greenhouse Events, recommended THC, and we were sold immediately after meeting with Dan. He is super relaxed, nice, and so knowledgable. Dan and THC team made planning super easy for us. They took time to hear about our hopes and helped recommend different band sizes for us. We hadn’t heard of a DJ band before, but loved the idea of some live music with the versatility to play all sorts of music, but our venue wasn’t very big and we also didn’t want to break the bank and hire a huge band. We chose the 4 piece DJ band with singer, sax, drums, and DJ. We knew we LOVED the sax, so we also had the sax play for cocktail hour (shout out to Elijah, who was amazing), and it was one of the best parts of the night. For planning music, they sent out a very detailed and thorough spreadsheet with more songs than one could imagine, and we could rate ones we liked the most, choose ones we definitely wanted or didn't, and choose specific songs for important moments. We met a couple times to review music choices as well. One of our biggest fears with a DJ was that they'd talk too much and be a little annoying, but Dan did a great job as MC, and was very low-key like we asked but announced important moments clearly. Dan and all the musicians had such great energy and got everyone on the dance floor. Our vocalist, Christen, was also amazing — her voice was spectacular, and she was such an amazing performer and got everyone involved in the music and dancing. So many people told us how much they loved the music and the energy, and had never heard of a DJ band but thought it was an amazing concept and the addition of live music over tracks added extra excitement and fun. THC also helped out with lighting (uplights and dance lights), and worked with our fantastic planner and the venue to help us decide the best setup. Ultimately, we loved working with THC. Their DJ-band setup is unique and adds so much variety to your music while allowing for some of the energy that comes from live performers. We danced the night away and had an absolute blast. 100% would recommend THC to anyone!”

“From my first call with JJ Essen, I knew his team was a good fit. He was prompt, communicative, and organized. He assigned Scott as our DJ & Javier as our photobooth attendant. Scott was equally communicative & organized. He set up multiple calls throughout the process, and was super flexible with us when we had to change our venue & timeline 3 weeks before the wedding. I sent Scott some specific songs, but also shared my Spotify playlists, and he made sure the entire night was popping! The dance floor was full all night, as Scott played banger after banger. He really nailed my music taste! And Javier made the photobooth so fun for my guests! “We got married in the midst of quarantine, back before Zoom Weddings were the norm, and loved our experience with the UncommonWeddings team! While there were so many unknowns, Leo and Kevin, our videographers, came out in full force and made everything a breeze and joy. They were resourceful - we had a drive-by reception - and they pulled out the drone and captured the car parade and our guests dancing with us in their cars. The video they created for us is beautiful and we will treasure it forever. Our team was a joy to spend the day with. While they were quiet presences who worked behind the scenes to film our day, they were great, friendly, warm people. Our photos and our 10 minute video along with our 7-hours of raw footage turned out PERFECTLY. They captured our whole day! Paul our videographer was super awesome, got every angle of our wedding and including drone footage. Only mistake we made was not telling our photographer what photos we wanted of family and ideas we had wanted, so it made the photos unorganized after ceremony, but our photographer Jessica made it quick for us and captured whatever we wanted! We would have wanted our photos in front of our venue but they still turned out beautiful. I would recommend this company, time and time again!!”
